শুণতে হবে আমার কথা
বোঝ আমার মর্মব্যথা
তোমায় পাবার ব্যাকুলতা

বেণুর ধ্বনির ফাঁকে ফাঁকে
তোমার আলো আমায় ডাকে
সেই আলোতেই মিশে’ থাকে
তোমার প্রীতির মধুরতা

আশার আলো তুমিই আমার
সকল ভালোর একক আধার
ভুললে তোমায় হই নিরাধার
তাইতো সদাই নোয়াই মাথা

Deaf don't stay, oh Darling;
You must hear my story.
My inmost agony, fathom please:
Extreme zeal for gaining Thee.

In the gaps mid sounding of reed pipe,
To me call beams of Your light.
Mixed with that very light abides
The sweetness of Your doting.

My ray of hope is You only,
