জাতিকা-বীথিকাতে সে রাতে
সে স্বপ্নমায়ায় লীলাদোলায়
ভেসে’ চলি আজও অজানাতে
সুরসপ্তকে তুলে’ তান
গেয়েছিলে প্রীতি-ভরা গান
বীণার তারে শতধারে
জ্যোতিমঞ্জীরের মঞ্জরীতে
সে গীত কভু হারাবে না
যুগযুগান্তেও থামিবে না
মহাকাশে যাবে ভেসে’

Song-wreath upon neck You'd appeared,
On an avenue jasmine-strewn that evening.
In that dream-filled, sportive litter,
Floating to the Unknown still I proceed.
By octave its keynotes lifted up,
A song full of love You'd sung...
In one hundred streams on lyre-strings,
With light-spikes of anklets shining.
That song won't ever get lost;
Age after age it will not pause.
In the vast cosmos it will go on sailing;
Beyond luminaries on a path of hearing.
