ভৈরব তুমি দুর্যোগে এলে
কপালে কৃষ্ণ তিলকে
যাহা কিছু পেলে কেড়ে নিয়ে গেলে
না থামিয়ে গতি তিলেকে

কত বিহঙ্গ নীড়হারা হ'ল
পশু-মানুষেরা আবাস খোয়াল
কত আঁখিজল বানে ভেসে' গেল
তুমি না তাকালে পলকে

স্বাতীর জলেতে শুক্তি ভিজিল
মুক্তা অতলে তলাইয়া গেল
ভালবাসা-ভরা মন ছুটে' এল
আর্তত্রাণে এ ভূলোকে

Translation

Bhaerav, You appeared at time of threat,
With a dark tilak upon forehead.
Whatever You received, You conquered and went,
Even for an instant, movement not halted.

Become nest-bereft are birds aplenty;
Animals and humans lost their lodging.
Like a flood, many tears kept on floating.
You did not eye it for a moment.

Oysters got drenched by water of own making;
To deep beneath, the pearl went on sinking.
Mentality full of love came in racing,
With relief for the oppressed in this mundane realm.
