শুধু এ জীবনে কেন জনমে জনমে যেন
কানুপ্রেম এনো হেন কানুপ্রেম এনো হেন
পায় গোপী মানস গোলোকে
কানু বিনা গতি নাই কানু ছাড়া কাকেও না চাই
নয়নে নিরখি' যাই নয়নে নিরখি' যাই

Translation
My Dark Lotus came; behold the crimson morning
In the midst of Gopiis today.
Hey the full sea of affection, the fountain of mercy,
On each side peacock cries dance for Your sake.
Profit and loss I know not, the touch of love want I;
Reckoning and tally I don't find, I don't find,
Owing to Yourself a Gopii having gained.
It's as if on many births, only in this life, excuse—
Such a love for Kanu bring it, bring such love for Kanu;
In psyche's paradise a Gopii obtains.
Without Kanu there's no aid, except Kanu nobody I desire—
I keep seeing before eyes, I keep seeing before eyes;
As God the Savior, Who came?
