শ্যামলিমা ছেয়ে গেছে

দোদুল দোলায় কদম্ব দোলে
শিখীর পুচ্ছ পুলকে উছলে
দর্দুর আজি কলকোলাহলে
আনন্দে মেতেছে

মানসবীণার তারে তারে আজি
সুরসপ্তক উঠিতেছে বাজি'
সকল ভাবনা ভাবরূপে সাজি'
অব্ঝরে নেচেছে

Translation

Rainfall has arrived, confidence has come...
With heaps of pipe-reed in the neep arbor,
Gone on blanketing has a green color.

Like a rocking cradle swings the kadam;
With a thrill swells the peacock's bottom.
Presently, croaking is the frog;
In bliss it's been absorbed.

Today on psyche's veena-strings,
The octave of melody, being played, is rising.
All contemplation, abstract state adorning,
Dancing tearfully has begun.
